April Dawn Clark was born on March 11, 1975 in Ada, Okla. April passed from this life on June 17, 2020 in Denison, Texas at the age of 45.
April has lived in Durant most of her life and graduated from Durant High School. She married Kevin Clark in December 1995, and they were blessed with a daughter, Alexandria.
April worked as a substitute teacher and special education aid for Durant Public School. She was baptized at Victory Life Church, and she enjoyed art, making jewelry, shopping, and she had a passion for reading. Her great joy in life was her family, and she treasured the time she spent with them.
April was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Merle and Valene Devereaux and mother in law, Debbie Clark.
April is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kevin Clark; adored daughter, Alexandria “Lexie” Clark; parents, Pam and Charles Rich; father-in-law, Jerry Clark; uncle, Chuck Devereaux and wife Jan; sister-in-law, Kimberly Maness and husband Ian; step-sister, Charla Graham and husband Randall; half-sister, Amber Brewer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A celebration of April’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Lee Armstrong of Victory Life Church will officiate.
Internment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Robert Shaw, Lee Early, Lewis Zachary, Chase Devereaux, Chuck Devereaux and Arik Flanders serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m.
