The Durant Riding Club seeks performers of the National Anthem during both performances of the Durant PRCA Rodeo on June 3 and 4, 2022.
Entrants/Performers must be willing and able to perform publicly at the rodeo. The contest is open to all ages. To enter, performers will submit a video of them singing our national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner,” a cappella in an outdoor environment. Because of the magnitude of the Durant PRCA Rodeo, the National Anthem should be performed in a conservative, traditional manner with little or no inflection or deviations. All videos will be sent to the Durant Riding Club Media Coordinator, Brandi Loftis, at loftisbrandi@gmail.com Deadline to apply is April 8, 2022.
The panel will review the videos and select the most qualified performer for the 2022 Durant PRCA Rodeo. The winner of the National Anthem performance will be announced on April 12, 2022. The singer/singers will receive complimentary parking for one passenger vehicle, an access badge for the arena and VIP tent, and five VIP tickets for the date of their performance. The chosen performer will be named on all Durant PRCA Rodeo flyers as the following, “National Anthem performed by local artist…”
