Another recovery listed; first positive case reported in Achille

BRYAN COUNTY – With free testing available for all, regardless of symptoms, statistics should continue to be fluid regarding the numbers of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the county.

The first case to be officially reported in Achille was listed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health website, which can be viewed HERE.

Additionally, the person testing positive in Bennington was listed as having recovered from the virus.

A breakdown of numbers for the county is listed below:

BRYAN COUNTY | 13 positive cases, 5 active (7 recoveries*, 1 death)

DURANT | 7 positive cases (4 recoveries)
MEAD | 3 positive cases (2 recoveries, 1 death)
ACHILLE | 1 positive case
BENNINGTON | 1 positive case (1 recovery)
COLBERT | 1 positive case

Testing is available for FREE at the Bryan County Health Department. The Health Department has asked that those who want to take part in this curbside testing would first call (580) 924-4285, to schedule an appointment.

* A recovery is defined as someone currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
