Allen “Dean” Robinson of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on Sunday, November 4, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma to Linnie Belle (Earnest) and Samuel Luie Robinson.
Dean was raised in Roberta, Oklahoma, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and service. On July 31, 1970, he married Regina (Callaway), beginning a life together filled with many cherished years and memories.
Dean proudly served his country as a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve from November 29, 1971, until 1977. His commitment to serving others was also reflected in his faith. He was a devoted member of Western Meadows Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon.
Above all, Dean treasured his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and the moments they shared brought him great joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Regina Robinson; parents Linnie and Samuel Robinson; brother Jerry Robinson; daughter-in-law Tanesha Robinson.
Survivors include his sons Kelly Robinson, Kasey Robinson and wife Cobra Yarbrough; daughter Kim Shannon and husband Jeremy; grandchildren Taylor Johnson and husband Wayde, Ashlyn Eiler and husband Josh, Jordan Robinson and husband Zack, Kara Donihoo and husband Justin, Allison Shannon and fiancé Myrissa Bowermaster, Kristen Robinson, Kacie Jo Robinson; great-grandchildren Oaklynn Eiler, Kynlee Lopez, Kye Donihoo; brothers Donald Robinson and wife Billie, Larry Robinson and wife Gracie, Travis Robinson; sister Shirley Blackburn; as well as other extended family and friends.
A family visitation service will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at The Gordon Center, 305 N Second Avenue, Durant, Oklahoma.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Western Meadows Baptist Church, 53 Shawna Drive, Durant, Oklahoma with Pastor Cole Newton officiating. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Kevin Robinson, Josh Eiler, Wayde Johnson, Mike Robinson, Jeff Robinson, Justin Donihoo, and Clyde Wayne will serve as pallbearers. Allen’s brothers will be honorary pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant.
