DURANT – Donald Barcheers received a gift for Christmas this year that will make a difference in the lives of his family.
Barcheers was the winner in a Christmas giveaway held by Advanced Care Medical Equipment in Ada, Ardmore, Durant and McAlester. This year’s prize was a lift chair valued at $1,300.
Donald entered to win and when he was informed that he won said he knew it would be a great Christmas present for his mother.
Advanced Care delivered and installed the chair at the Barcheers’ home. Pharmacist Greg Seay said the business was happy to get to be a part of something like this.
“We’re really excited to have the chance to give away a lift chair this Christmas, especially the kind of lift chair that we’re giving away,” Seay said. “It’s a lift chair that is leather and has a couple of motors on it that are able to put you in a complete reclined position. It’s also a way to give back to the patients that we have throughout our stores in McAlester, Ada, Ardmore, and Durant.”
Seay is also the owner of Medical Center Pharmacy, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. He said he believes the upcoming year will be a good one for his business.
“I think 2023 is really going to be a good year for the pharmacy and the durable medical equipment business,” Seay said. “I think we have positioned ourselves to continue to service the public well.
“We have consistency in our employees and they are continually learning what they need to do and how they need to do it. We are in a patient servicing industry and we want to make sure that we continue to service our patients the best that we can.”
