Elmer “Glen” Woods was born May 12, 1960 and died June 27, 2019. He was born to the late Elmer G. and Naomi R. Woods of Cement, Okla.
Glen lived in Cement, Okla.; Tishomingo, Okla. and Durant, Okla. all his life. He was a Chickasaw tribal member. He worked for many years as a cook at the Waffle Shop in Durant and was said to make the best chicken fried steak. He liked to drink coffee and visit at local restaurants in Tishomingo. Glen was known to be a quiet and kind person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Rosemary, Katherine and Alice Woods and two brothers Ronald Wayne and Danny Ray Woods.
He is survived by his two brothers: Ricky Woods of Tishomingo, Okla. and Daniel Woods and wife Kim of Emet, Okla.; sisters: Caroline Holt and Rachel Woods of Tishomingo, Okla., Anita Woods of Calera, Okla. and Susan Ledford and husband David of Brown, Okla.; nephews; Bryan, Jeremy and Nathan Webb, Craig Stevens, Dylan Woods and David Woods; and nieces Kayla Holt and Kaci Woods.
Memorial services are schedule July 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Tishomingo.
