Loise Whitmire, a beloved mother and grandmother, left this life on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Kenefic, Okla., on March 9, 1929 to Will Stanley and Stella (Hibdon) Stanley. Loise married Eugene Whitmire in 1947 at Durant, Okla.
Mrs. Whitmire is survived by her children: Merle Whitmire and wife Lorene of McDavid, Florida, Steve Whitmire and wife June of Durant, Jan Morton of Sulphur, Okla., Cindy James of Durant, Reba Evans and husband Steve Evans of Calera, Okla.; Grandchildren: Mark Whitmire of Mesa, Arizona, James Whitmire of Coleman, Oklahoma, Monica Moore and husband Dustin of Nida, Okla., Amanda Brister and husband Brian of Kingston, Okla., Stephanie Hall and husband Marc of Durant, Richard Morton and wife Laura of Hennepin, Okla., Kenna Barnes and husband Brandon of Hennepin, Aaron Williams and wife Heather of Durant, Brin James of Norman, Okla., Thomas Evans and wife Morgan of Calera, and Hunter Evans of Calera. Loise is also survived by 14 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Whitmire was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Eugene Whitmire in 1981.
A celebration of her life will begin 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 at Folsom Freewill Baptist Church in Coleman, Oklahoma with Brother Randy Tadlock officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Nida, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers are James Whitmire, Richard Morton, Aaron Williams, Thomas Evans, Hunter Evans, Steve Evans. Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Whitmire, Dustin Moore, Brian Brister, Marc Hall and Brandon Barnes.
