Funeral services for Joe Wayne Harless will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018,at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Unity Church in Soper, Okla. with Gerald Vickers, Donnie Taylor, and Dee Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Okla.
Joe Wayne Harless was born September 25, 1944, in Unger, Okla., to Roy Franklin Harless and Opal Gertrude (Craddock) Harless. He passed away August 20, 2018, in Hugo, Okla. at the age of 73.
Joe married his love, Nancy Lynn, on Oct. 17 in Durant, Okla. Together they were blessed with many years of marriage, children, and grandchildren. Joe was always working, and in his spare time, he loved to fish, ride horses, and visiting friends. He was a man with a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Johnny Harless and Kenneth Harless.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of the home; son, Brian Keith Harless, and wife, Jodie Suzanne, of Leonard, Texas; daughter, Stacey Pearlene Zaicek, and husband, RJ, of Soper; brother, Billy Harless, of Soper; sister, Faye Harless, of Durant; grandchildren, Emily Paige Harless, Melanie Elizabeth Smoot, Jessica Louise Smoot, Lindee Dawn Harless, Tucker Brian Harless, Reece Hayden Stephens, Isabella Mical Stephens, Ethan Wayne Stephens, and Zebedia Zane Zaicek.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
