Isaac Wayne Smith

Then this miracle came along…

Isaac Wayne Smith was born to Terry W. and Brandy R. (Scott) Smith on Dec. 16, 2004 in Grapevine, Texas. His parents were told they could not have children, and then they were told he was not a viable pregnancy. They named him for laughter. Isaac was an immensely loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Baptized at North Richland Hills Baptist Church on Apr. 26, 2015, he returned to the Lord’s embrace Aug. 8, 2018 at the age of 13 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Isaac attended Snow Heights Elementary in North Richland Hills and Callisburg Middle School. He was a member of both the Wildcat Middle School football team and High School marching band. During the 2016-2017 school year, he won the UIL Middle School District high score award in Science. Isaac was a fierce protector of everyone smaller than him, which was a lot of people. He liked to take things apart to learn how they worked. He enjoyed science, reading, gaming, music and sporting a bow-tie when the occasion was right.

Isaac is survived by his parents and two younger siblings, Samuel Wade Smith and Rachel Lorene Smith, all of the home in Callisburg, Texas.

Services are under the arrangement of Gordon’s Funeral Home in Durant, and will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville, Texas on Monday, Aug. 13 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Callisburg Cemetery.
