DeAnna “DeeDee” Laymon of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the age of 49. She was born on Sunday, April 17, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma to Judy May (Collins) and Roger Dale Laymon, Sr.
DeeDee was a lifelong resident of Durant, Oklahoma. She found joy in music, the companionship of dogs, and the simple pleasure of spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched many people. Wherever DeeDee went, she would bring laughter, comfort, happiness, and joy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Laymon; grandmother, Julia; uncles Tom, Buel Collins; aun,t Joy; and cousin Rustin.
Survivors include her sons: Donovan Ray of Durant, Oklahoma, Aaron Ray of Durant, Oklahoma, Raymond Ray of Durant, Oklahoma, Waylon Ray of Durant, Oklahoma; mother, Judy Collins of Kemp, Oklahoma; brothers: Roger Laymon, Jr. and wife Lori of Enid, Oklahoma, Rod Laymon of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters: Julie Smith of Kemp, Oklahoma, Amy Laymon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandsons: Hunter, River, Rider, Kashtynn, Jamison; granddaughters: Marina, Priscilla, Hadley Ray; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as other extended family and friends.
A visitation gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Gordon Center, located at 305 N. Second Ave. in Durant, Oklahoma.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant.
