Statewide political candidates visit Bryan County

DURANT – A number of candidates running for statewide office in Oklahoma took time to visit Bryan County on Wednesday.

Highlighted by gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei, many hopefuls visited local businesses and organizations. A gathering at Roma Italian Restaurant afforded locals an opportunity to hear from the individuals, as well as ask some questions.

Mazzei (R), a former Oklahoma state senator, was joined at the event by Cindy Byrd (running for Oklahoma State Treasurer), Chris Medideth (running for Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner), Mike Brittingham (running  for Oklahoma State Representative for District 19) and a representative for Kevin West (running for Oklahoma Labor Commissioner).

The topics of discussion included from tax reform, finances, insurance reform and more.
