William Walter “Bill” Lansdale

William Walter “Bill” Lansdale, 87, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home in Kingston, Oklahoma. Bill was born December 7, 1938, in Stringtown, Oklahoma, to the late Ernest Lansdale and Jewel (Magby) Lansdale.

Bill graduated from Grandfield High School in 1958. He married the love of his life, Glenda Scott on April 12, 2015. Bill was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict. He worked as a mechanic for many years and worked in the peanut harvesting industry. He loved to dance and spend time with his family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Jewel Lansdale, two sisters, and one brother.

Bill is survived by his wife of the home; Glenda Lansdale; son, Bret Wayne Lansdale of Calera, Oklahoma; son, Billy Ray Lansdale of St. Louis, Missouri; stepdaughter, Gerri Langford and husband Jimmy Langford of Kingston, Oklahoma; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Bill will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service in Madill, Oklahoma with Pastor Joey Lansdale officiating. Interment will take place at Kingston Cemetery with Michael Harkey, Nathan Garrett, Clemmie Trent, R.J. Rains, Gary Baugher, and Jeremy Smith serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers are E.D. Trent, J.D. Smith, Gary Lawson, and Johnnie Latham.

Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
