SEARCY, Ark. – Southeastern was unable to get its offense going on Thursday evening against the red-hot Bisons, as the Storm were tripped up on the road by Harding 87-54.

The blue and gold shot 37.5 percent from the field with two players in double-digit points, led by Chandler Dickinson with 18 on 8-17 shooting. Augusto Toledo chipped in 11 points and had three of the team’s eight three-pointers. Dickinson would also add a career-high 15 rebounds to his totals for his first double-double of the season. SE finished with 25 rebounds, while HU pulled down 39 as a team.

Southeastern (4-11, 3-6 GAC) wraps up its road in Arkansas with a trip to the Tucker Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. to take on Arkansas Tech.

The Southeastern offense was limited earlier, and turnovers proved costly in the opening minutes, as the Bisons jumped out to a 9-1 lead. Harding’s second-ranked scoring defense in the GAC continued to flex its muscles early, holding the blue and gold to two points over the next three minutes, which allowed the hosts to extend the gap to 18-3. SE eventually got the scoring going through back-to-back three-pointers from Ethan Scott and Toledo to spark an 8-0 run and trim the deficit to 18-11.

The Storm continued to let it fly from beyond the arc, as Santiago Camacho Gomez caught fire, draining two quick triples in succession, down 26-19. Another triple fell for SE, this time from Dickinson to close the gap to six, but the Bisons soon picked up the pace again, building a 12-2 run to stretch their edge to 40-24. Southeastern would be held scoreless through the final four minutes of the half to go into the break down 45-24.

The Bisons were off to a flying start in the second half, knocking down two early triples, and would drain three more on an 11-0 run to extend their advantage to 62-30. SE joined in on the three-point shooting with Toledo knocking down a three-pointer, and not long after, he would find a second triple. The Harding offense did not slow down, as it continued to add to its lead and matched the Storm in scoring down the stretch for an 87-54 win.
