Michelle D. Payne-Amlin of Mead, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of 47. She was born on Thursday, February 23, 1978 in Junction City, Kansas to Kristy Kay (Savage) and Paul Joseph Payne.
Michelle’s family came from Kansas and Michelle has been a resident of Bryan County since the young age of 15. She enjoyed reading and hunting. She loved horses, dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Joseph Payne; and son, Colton.
Survivors include her husband John Amlin of Mead, Oklahoma; daughters Emily Payne and husband Damian of Mead, Oklahoma, Shelby Amlin and husband Nate of Mead, Oklahoma, Nicole Amlin of Durant, Oklahoma; mother Kristy Payne of Blue, Oklahoma; grandchildren Ellie, Roman, Ryder, Teagan, Connor, Raelynn, Cryslin, Artie, Bellah, Jacoby; a sister and a brother as well as other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Gordon Center, 305 N. Second Ave. in Durant, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Gordon Center, 305 N. Second Ave. in Durant, Oklahoma with Tommy Savage officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant.
