Thurman Hubert Stanley passed away October 29, 2025, at his home in Folsom, Oklahoma at the age of 76. He was born to Jack Thurman and Betty Jean (Butts) Stanley in Kenefic, Oklahoma on December 10, 1948.
He attended schools at Kenefic and Coleman, where he graduated with the Class of 1967. Hubert served in the Army and fought for his country during the Vietnam War. He worked at Peabody, John Mansville and retired from Sundowner’s at age 59. He was a proud Father to Gena, Carie, Kelli and Jayden. He was blessed with four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Currently he was watching his son, Jayden, and the Atoka High School Football team. He was already gearing up for Caddo Bruin Basketball. He was a regular at John Teel and Clarita Auctions. He loved yard sales and estate auctions and couldn’t wait to gift some of his “just like brand new” or “real neat” purchases. Hubert never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was known for extending a helping hand. He will be missed as a Father, Papa Hubie, brother, and Uncle Hubert and friend.
Hubert is survived by his daughters: Carie Dill of Tushka, Kelli Lackey and husband Jeff of Caddo, and Jayden Stanley of Harmony. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashlyn Dill, Zach Dill, Chandler Lackey and Austin Lackey. Great grandchildren Audree Marie Dill and Elsie Jean Holt. Hubert is also survived by his brothers, Ronnie and Adrian and sisters Marge Pritchard Eakins, Marilyn Moore, Judy Thomas and Joyce Milligan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that he adored and loved aggravating. We are quite sure that nobody will be able to fill his shoes, and he will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
Preceding Hubert in death are his parents, Jack and Betty Jean; his daughter, Gena Marie Stanley; and his brother Benny Alvis Stanley.
