Eddie Mullens

Edward “Eddie” Ray Mullens of Gordonville, Texas passed away peacefully in Denison, Texas, on January 2, 2025, at the age of 56. He was born on July 26, 1968, in Denison, Texas, to Harold M. and Betty R. (Cooper) Mullens.

Professionally, Eddie contributed to the aerospace industry, crafting electrical wire for Boeing Aircraft. Eddie had a particular passion for technology and history. He enjoyed spending time at his computer, where he would dive into the world of gaming, or he could be found doing online research. His love for researching the Bible, history, and current events was not just a pastime but a reflection of his deep curiosity and desire to understand the world around him.

He is survived by his father, Harold M. Mullens, and three brothers including Harold Alan Mullens and wife Misty of Barbourville, Kentucky, Karl Aaron Mullens of Gordonville, Texas, and Brian Eric Mullens and wife Miranda of Whitesboro, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie’s bond with his favorite pet chihuahua, Chloe, was a source of joy and companionship, and she too will feel his absence.

Eddie was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Harold E. and Katherine Mullens; his mother, Betty R. Mullens; his sister, Karla Taylor; his uncle, Donald R. Mullens; his aunt, Sue C. Miller; and his great-nephew, Kayden Alan Mullens.

Friends and family will gather at his Family Hour from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday January 5, 2025, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Burcham officiating.
