Anna Jay Sharp of Calera, Okla., was called home on May 14, 2024, at age 87. Anna Jay was born June 29, 1936.
She spent her early years in Durant, Okla. She married the love of her life, Jacky Ray Sharp on November 21, 1953, in Durant. The couple was blessed with two loving sons, James Ray and Bradley Wayne. They raised their family in Calera, Okla., where Anna Jay and Jacky lived until their respective deaths.
Anna Jay is preceded in death by her husband, Jacky Sharp; parents, John and Thelma Hallman; sister, Anna Bell Wylie; son, James Sharp; granddaughters, Ashley Sharp and Amber Sharp and great-grandson, Vincent Kirby.
Anna Jay is survived by her son, Bradley Sharp; sister, Jonnie Carrol Hallman and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is set for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Rosehill Cemetery pavilion in Calera, Okla. Pallbearers will be Eric Gaston, Trevor White, Harley Sharp, and Dylan Kirby.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral Service and Crematory.
