Jack Hill of Caddo, Okla., passed from this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born on Tuesday, April 28, 1931 in Caddo, Okla., to Albert Sydney and Alta “Altie” Euphamy (Boydstun) Hill.
He was a lifelong resident of Caddo. He married Melba Leflora (Moran) Hill on March 18, 1950 in Durant, Okla. He loved her dearly and they were married for 25,022 days, up until her passing. He was also a proud member of the U.S. Navy on the USS Holder from March 18, 1950 to March 27, 1956.
He was a “Mr. Fix It” and he enjoyed inventing things, gardening, telling stories, jokes, and was known to be quite a prankster.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Leflora (Moran) Hill; parents, Albert Sydney and Alta “Altie” Euphamy (Boydstun) Hill; sons, Dale Hill and Daniel Wayne Hill; daughters, Karen Simmons, infant Tereasa Faye Hill; grandchildren, Jason Lee Oller, infant Albert Wayne Hill; sisters: Margaret, Mary, Ann; brothers: Richard, Thomas, and John – making Jack the last of seven siblings.
Survivors include sons, Tony Hill of Durant, Okla., Sam Hill of Hoquiam, Wash.; daughters, Debbie Oller and husband Don of Caddo, Okla., Stacie Robinson and husband Mike of Caddo, Okla.; grandchildren: Chris, Colby, Torey, Logan, Bradley, Heath, Sam, Tony, Amber, Audrey, Heather, Blake, Ryan, Hannah, Raeni, as well as numerous great grandchildren, other extended family and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla., with Bro. Jeff Self officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
