Aaron Johnson departed this life on May 8, 2024, in his hometown of Durant, Okla., at the age of 38. He was born on November 4, 1985, in Durant to Harlen David and Mary Susan (Hill) Johnson. He attended Durant public schools and graduated from Durant High School in 2004.
Aaron worked as a Texas Hold ’em dealer, where he shared his love for the game with many. His interests were as vibrant as his personality; he was an avid scratch pool player, a skilled bowler, and his voice lent a unique energy to a rock and roll band. Also, Aaron cherished the time spent drag racing his Camaro with his dad, something they enjoyed doing together which captured their adventurous spirit.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his adoring parents, David and Susan Johnson, and his beloved daughters, Holley and Kinsley Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, EH and Dorothy Johnson, Raymond and Jimmie Hill, and his uncle Ray Hill, Jr.
A time of visitation and remembrance will take place at his Family Hour on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. with Brother Jim Parrish officiating.
