Claud Robinson Johnson (C.R.) passed away on September 23, 2023. He was born on May 28, 1941, in Stratford, Okla., to Robinson Johnson and Effie Nichols-Johnson. C.R. had three siblings: Jim, Edward, and Bessie. 
He was an amazing painter and enjoyed doing leather and bead work. He had a love of horses and trained them for many years. He could always get you to laugh even if you were not in the mood. He was an understanding and loving grandfather. No matter the situation, you could count on him to help as much as he was able. C.R. lived with his wife Melba in Mead, Okla., for the last seven years of his life. He will be greatly missed by his two children: Lisa Nieto, and Rose Nieto, as well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at High Hill Cemetery in Ada, Okla.
