Linda Kaye Paddock Mitchell, of Ada, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the age of 75. She was born on May 16, 1948 in Durant, Oklahoma to William and Cleo (Paddock) Edwards. She married the love of her life, Freddie Mitchell, on September 27, 1967 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Linda worked as a beautician, making others look and feel beautiful. She was creative and enjoyed sewing and decorating as well. One of her hobbies was collecting Egyptian things.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Freddie Mitchell of Ada, Oklahoma; her son, Heath Mitchell and wife Elisa of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, William Galloway and James Atkinson; stepbrother, Dwight Waffle, and sisters, Yvonne Collins and Stella Mays; grandsons: Zachery Mitchell, Corey Mitchell, and Alex Storm Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Daelan Mitchell, Remington Mitchell, Zala Mitchell, and Raven Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Cleo Edwards; son, Lance Mitchell; sister, Patricia Risner and brother, Tommy Waffle.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma, with Dale Ruble officiating.
Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant.
