Patsy Ann Brown

We grieve the loss and celebrate the life of our precious and mean little momma.

She enters her new role as Guardian Angel to everyone’s life she touched.

Patsy Ann Brown was born in Durant, Okla., to Walter and Mollie Menchaca.

She loved being a mom, raising her kids, cooking, gardening, sewing, crochet and crafts, teaching others, reading recipes, and children playing in the yard. We didn’t have much, but she was able to scrape up enough for yard games for all of us (neighborhood kids) to participate in. She was good at making the work fun, convincing us that if we did a good job, then we could play. If we ever ran out of chores to do, she would be volunteering us off to the church community.

She was a homemaker, babysitter, worked at the peanut mill, Silo Baptist Church Nursery, Sister Act Cleaning & Catering, and watching her grandbabies. She volunteered at the Literacy Center.

She joins her parents; brother, Walter Menchaca; husband, Myron Brown; stepdaughter, Marianne Azimi; stepson, Myron Brown, Jr.

She leaves behind her children: Marvin Lenard, Katrina Espinoza, James Lenard; stepdaughters, Mira Pike, Sherry Dampf; stepson, Curtis Brown; many grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of her Light and Life will be held for Friends and Family at Marvin Lenard’s home. So come by, leave a note, sign her book.

Anyone that has family photos that they would like to share or have scanned, we can work out digitizing them for sharing.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in her name to your local literacy program or public library, which was very near and dear to her heart. Buy a book or packet of seeds and have fun with your grand kids. Which was truly in line with her belief of “Teach them to Fish” and “Fun Facts”.  Hugs are powerful; Hug a loved one today.

Arrangements under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home.
