Charley Odell Pugh, of Atoka, Okla., passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the age of 77. He was born on Saturday, April 7, 1945 in Caney, Okla., to Henry Newman and Lydie Annie (Coppell) Pugh. 
He married Janice Fay (Pittman) Pugh on November 17, 1962 in Atoka, and was a longtime resident of Atoka. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Atoka Masonic Lodge.
He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family. He enjoyed cooking for the family with his wife and chasing his children and grandchildren to band events, football and soccer games and other extracurricular activities.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Fay (Pittman) Pugh; parents, Henry Newman and Lydie Annie (Coppell) Pugh; siblings, Billie Sherrell, Bobby Dean Pugh, Wesley Glendon Pugh, Otis Leroy Pugh, Pearl Pittman and Eldon Ray Pugh.
Survivors include his son, Russell “Rusty” Pugh and wife Christi of Atoka, Okla.; daughter, Jana Finch; grandchildren, Brandon and wife Allissia, Zachary and wife Jammie, Christopher Pugh, Austin Finch, Lydia Sowels and husband Caleb; great-grandchildren, Zachary Finch, Cayden, Jarrod, Tristen, Seonna, Rosalyne; as well as many other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at High Hill Cemetery in Atoka, Okla. with Bro. Roger Pittman officiating and Eric Pittman reading the obituary.
