Durant Police Department to support Special Olympics during Tip a Cop event

City of Durant

DURANT – The Durant Police Department as well as other local law enforcement agencies are partnering with area restaurants to serve the community in a whole new way!

Officers will serve as hosts and waiters at local eateries on Thursday, April 21 evening from 5-8 p.m.  All tips they receive will be donated to the Special Olympics.

Durant Firefighters are also participating in support of their brothers in blue for this great cause.

Dine at Rib Crib (Durant PD), Main Street BBQ (Durant Fire Department), Roma Italian Restaurant (Calera PD), Chili’s (Choctaw Nation Tribal Police) or Roadhouse Bar & Grill (Bryan Co. Sheriff’s Office) for delicious food, fun, and to support Special Olympics.

Tip a Cop is a national campaign that raises money for the Special Olympics each year.  At the local level, it is set up as a healthy competition with annual bragging rights for the agency/department that is able to donate the most tip money from the event.
