Cheryl Darlene Petty was born October 21, 1946 in Durant, Okla. to Tetlow Alford Petty and Eula Belle (Bridges) Petty. She entered into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 from her home in Mead, Okla. at the age of 75. 
Darlene married the love of her life, James Milton Crawford, on April 16, 1972 in Dallas, Texas. He precedes her in death on September 4, 2021. Darlene and James came to Mead in 1999 from Mustang, Okla. Together, they were foster parents and she drove a bus for the Calera High School for several years. Darlene enjoyed singing, spending time with her family, and doing work on her home and being outdoors. She attended Victory Life Church in Durant.
Darlene was also preceded in death by her parents and a baby brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy L. Shuemake and her husband, Ray, of Mead, Okla.; son, Charles Crawford and his wife, Sheila, of Magazine, Ark.; son, James Crawford Jr. and his wife, Kristen, of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Carol Young of Mead, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
