Carol Mae (Weers) Wallace, a beloved soul left this earth and joined her Savior on February 2, 2022 at the age of 88. She was the daughter of George H. Weers and Catherine Irene (Winters) Weers. Carol married her sweetheart Jack E. Wallace Jr. in Sterling, Colorado. on April 10, 1952.
Carol was a former member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Denison, Texas and a current member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Durant, Okla. She gladly dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. Carol was a talented seamstress and loved to paint.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her daughters, Clarola (C.J.) J. Rose and husband Chris of Durant, Okla. and Cynthia (Cindi) D. Atkins and husband David of Sherman, Texas; sisters, Marian E. Lemmon of Fort Collins, Colorado., Nadine R. Hisam of Denver, Colo., and Betty J. Eggleston of Rowlett, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Weers; husband, Jack Wallace; and brothers, Harold, Ronald, and Norval.
Family hour will be from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Durant, Okla.
A funeral service in honor of her life will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Patterson officiating. Her final earthly resting place will be the Highland Cemetery with her family as her pallbearers.
Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant, Okla.
