Jessie Fae Pittman, left her earthly home to be with her maker, on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 in Monroe, La. Jessie was born on October 12, 1933 in Karma, Okla. to Samuel Haynes and Myrtle Messer Haynes.
She married Gene Pittman on October 12, 1947 in Bonham, Texas. She was a high school graduate, also attended college and achieved her beautician license. She was a Christian and a member of the Kemp Church of Christ in Kemp, Okla. She was a Bryan County resident for 4o years. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Jessie was a founding member of Kemp Ambulance Service and absolutely loved being an EMT. She was always willing to go help and assist those in need. She was known as a wonderful quilter and was the jigsaw puzzle queen. She also enjoyed art and had many oil paintings. Jessie volunteered and donated to “Hands of Hope” in Durant since 2011. Jessie loved helping others.
Left to cherish her memories is her son, Rick Pittman and wife Karen of Monroe, La.; grandchildren: Rachel, Zack, Jenifer, Jackie, Jessica; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, other extended family and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Pittman in 2011; her parents, Samuel and Myrtle Haynes and her son, Jimmy Pittman.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at at Kemp Cemetery.
