Michael Neil Kane, a beautiful soul and dedicated servant of his Lord Jesus Christ, left this earthly life on Oct. 26, 2021, at the age of 57. He was born in Sherman, Texas on Dec. 15, 1963, to Billy Lovell Kane and Myra Ann (Doughty) Kane. Michael married his beloved Kelly Snider in Durant, Okla. on June 24, 1995.
Michael grew up in Denison, Texas and married Kelly and moved to Durant, Okla. They moved to Van Alstyne, Texas for a while but recently moved back to Durant to be near family. Michael was a friend to all. He would give you advice, even if you didn’t ask for it. It was always given in love though. He was a giver: time, things, advice, an ear to listen, but most of all he was a giver of God’s love and his salvation that is available to all. Michael stood for what he believed. He loved music and dancing with his favorite partner. He was proud of his kids and the beautiful, kind young adults they have become. Michael never left without a hug or kiss (yes, on the mouth, it’s a Kane thing) and telling you that he loved you. You knew he was sincere – he did love you.
