Tobey Lane Vellotti Bohannon, 68, breathed her soul away into her savior’s arms on Oct. 15, 2021 at 10:15 a.m.
(Due to her wishes there will be no viewing or services)
Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling and her most recent favorite adventures were her trips with her husband to Yellowstone National Park, New Orleans and fishing for sharks in Port Aransas, Texas. She also loved visiting Northwest Arkansas where she spent a good portion of her life. She was known to find a lookout and stand there just breathing in the views. She said the beauty of the Boston Mountains were a sign of God’s artistry.Closer to home she is best remembered for her gardens. She grew amazing fruits and vegetables but found greater joy in tending bud and blooms. Her roses were her favorites and if she could have counted them among her children you can bet she would have.
A few of her life achievements she was most proud of were being mentioned in the 1992 edition of Who’s Who among Students in America (Junior Colleges) while attending Grayson County College (Denison, TX.) and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (Durant, OK.) in 1994.
The perfect quote to describe her is;
“She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.”
-Ariana Dancer
She was compassionate, forgiving, generous, intelligent and had a great passion for life, showing off her silly side at random times.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her but we know that she was close with the Lord and is walking in heaven’s roses.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 19 years, David Bohannon; daughters: Angela McCraw, Georgia Knight, Mellissa Peretto; step-sons: Cory Bohannon, Kris Bohannon; along with 10 grandkids, 13 great-grandkids and a multitude of extended family and friends.
