Betty May Harris, 82, passed away on Oct. 4, 2021. She was born to Elmer and Ruth Chapman in San Francisco, Calif. on Sept. 21, 1939. Betty worked at Western Electric and retired as Quality Assurance for Bellcore. She married John McElhanon Harris, the love of her life, who passed away on May 16, 2016.
Betty enjoyed quilting, ceramics, reading, and quiet country living. She was a long standing member of two local quilting clubs.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband John Harris, her son Terry Squier and her sisters Mary and Kennette.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Lorene Squier and grandson, Colton Coldiron of Midwest City; granddaughter, Candice Ruth and husband Michael; great-grandchildren: Xander and Landon Cowen of Moore; and her daughter, Ayesha Griffith and granddaughter, Alexandria Griffith of Oklahoma City.
A celebration of life is set for Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant.
