Eva Marie Guess Snider joined her Savior on Oct. 4, 2021, at the age of 91. She was born in Calera, Okla. to Jewel and Alta Guess.
She and her husband Herman Douglas (Jack) Snider ranched in Caddo for more than 50 years together. Eva loved to sew and always tried to make something each year for her granddaughters for Christmas. She spent many hours making those gifts always with love in every stitch. Eva loved to garden, and her yard made Yard of the Year which she was very proud of. But she always gave her son credit because he did most of the yard work for her.
Eva is survived by her two daughters, Doretta DeLaTorre and husband Albert, Jackie Harms and husband John; daughter-in-law, June Snider and son-in-law, Mark DeWeese. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Maudie Alta Guess; husband, Herman Douglas (Jack) Snider; son, Larry Snider and daughter, Karen DeWeese. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Ruthie Snider.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
A church service in honor of her memory will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Robinson Baptist Church in Caddo, Okla. with Bro. Samuel Harris officiating. Her final resting place will be the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera with Eva’s beloved grandsons as her pallbearers.
Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
