Anna Pena Celtik was born May 31, 1975, in Durant, Okla., to Nancy and Ray Pena. She left this world Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. at the age of 46.
She married Omer Celtik on April 8, 2003. They made their home in Little Elm, Texas. Omer and his “baby askim” loved and lived their life together for 18 years. Anna worked for Walmart for 21 years and was a dedicated and faithful employee.
As a transplant recipient in 2014, she was passionate about her new chance at a better quality of life and was thankful to have several years of good health. Anna was an avid reader of romance novels, loved all puppies, trying different foods and her family. She had an especially tight bond with her sister, Martha Johnston. They were so close they were often mistaken for twins. Those that loved Anna well remember her sweet chuckle and smile.
Anna was in preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and Ray Pena and her grandmother, Grace Bedwell.
She is survived by her husband, Omer Celtik of Little Elm, Texas; sister, Martha Johnston and her spouse Tony of Durant, Okla.; sister, Mary Pena of Fort Worth, Texas; and extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins here in the U.S. and Turkey.
Family hour will be from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Okla. Her funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Br. Charles Villianes officiating.
