Danny Joe Sparkman, of Gordonville, Texas passed from this life on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born on Monday, July 2, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to Joe Fred and Rebecca Ruth (Keil) Sparkman.
Danny married Pamela Gail Thrift on July 2, 1991 in Sherman, Texas.
He was a longtime resident of Gordonville, Texas. He was an outstanding salesman, raised pigeons, loved to fish and going to the lake. He was an avid hunter and he killed one of the biggest deer in Fannin County. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids. He taught his sons, grandsons and granddaughters how to fish. He drove a truck for 20 years. He enjoyed aggravating people just to get a reaction. He was always a great father and husband. He was the best provider any family could ever ask for. He always made sure his family had what they needed in life. He was the kind of man that when someone was having a bad day he would say something to make them laugh and brighten their day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Fred and Rebecca Ruth (Keil) Sparkman; daughter, Tana Paige Sparkman and sisters, Polly Cook and Melody Sparkman.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Sparkman of the home; sons, Royce Sparkman of Gordonville, Texas, Dustin Sparkman of Ravenna, Texas; daughters, Danna Swindell of Dodd City, Texas, Misty Bishop of Durant, Okla.; sisters, Vicky Pedigo of Fort Worth, Texas, Sunni Hamilton of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Jim Bob Sparkman of Fort Worth, Texas; grandsons: Chance Sheffield, Trevor Osborn, A.J. Swindell, Chris Swindell and granddaughters Brittany Henderson, Whitley Berkham and Paislee Sparkman as well as numerous other extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla.
