It is with a heavy heart, but with no grief, that we say goodbye to one of the world’s most incredible mothers, wife, and grandmother. Always warm, smiling, and genuinely caring is one we know, love, and will miss. She has secured a place in our hearts that we will forever treasure.
For 68 years, her love for her family and friends was always apparent. Sherdean Berry was born on March 2, 1953, in Bennington, Okla. to J. D. Weemes and Betty (Harrington) Weemes. She was one of six children, and she lived a simple life. Sherdean loved shopping with her daughter and eating Chinese food.
Sherdean met her true love as a young teenager and married Jimmy Berry on Sept. 6, 1969. They shared a happy devoted life together in Durant, OK for 52 years. Sherdean and Jimmy had two daughters: Lisa Wyatt and Dena Sage. Together they made sure their girls had everything they needed and gave them a devoted, loving home.
She was a hard worker with many skills, she worked for the Durant Public Schools for 10 years in food service then changed paths and worked as a nurse’s aide for ten years, she loved helping people. Sherdean became sick at an early age robbing her of the ability to work. Although she had many days when sickness made her unable to enjoy the simple life, she always looked forward too and enjoyed visits from her family.
