DeLois Parker, a beloved servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, and resident of Bokchito, Okla., went home to be with her Savior on June 26, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born in Bennington, Okla., to Charlie Otis Taylor and Emma Elizabeth (Williams) Taylor. Delois married Gene Parker in Bokchito, Okla., on May 23, 1960.
DeLois spent her life serving God and praying for others. She cherished everyone in her large family and loved babysitting the grandbabies. DeLois enjoyed her church family at The Rock Church and looked forward to prayer meetings. She liked creating quilts, and sewing, quietly fishing, and camping under the stars. Her greatest earthly blessing was spending time with her loved ones.
DeLois is survived by her husband, Gene of their home; children, Carol Neal and husband Roger of Bennington, Okla., and Tyson Parker and wife Crystal of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hutchings and husband Jerry of Bokchito, Okla., Zachariah Neal and wife Christa of Bennington, Okla., Abigail Neal of Bennington, Okla., Lydia Branscum and husband Jared of Bokchito, Okla., Haley Parker and Kylie Parker of Durant, Okla., JoAnn Henry and husband Justin of Crystal, Okla., Tyler Parker of Calera, Okla., Susanna Neal of Bennington, Okla., Damaris Neal of Bennington, Okla., Khayla Emerson, Khara Emerson, and Khyle Emerson all of Durant, Okla.; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nora Parker and husband Wayne of Bennington, Okla.
DeLois was preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren, Keturah Rose Neal, and Landon Emerson, siblings, Clinton Taylor, Eugene Taylor, Elbert Taylor, Clyde Taylor, and Zelma Taylor.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29 at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Okla., with Roger Neal officiating. Her pallbearers will be Zachariah Neal, Tyson Parker, Tyler Parker, Jerry Hutchings, Jared Branscum, Justin Henry, and Dallas Hutchings.
