David Ray Sarff, of Southmayd, Texas, passed from this life on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born on Saturday, Nov. 14, 1953 in Clyde, Kan. to Nyle Raymond and Vivian Irene Sarff.
He was a resident of Southmayd, Texas. He enjoyed cookouts, having a cold one and hanging out with his friends and family. He was a member of the US Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a Lance Corporal, First Marine Division, 1st. Battalion as an artilleryman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brother, Ralph Stoner of Southmayd, Texas; nieces, Nikki “Snickers” Chambers and Shane Mabry of Southmayd, Texas, Barbara Stoner of Sherman, Texas; step-children, Charles Wood and Ricky Wood of Euless, Texas; great-nephews, Brendan Collum and wife Jessica of Sherman, Texas, Ace Mabry of Southmayd, Texas and Michael Castineda of Sherman, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant, Okla.
