Mae A. McBride, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born on Sunday, Feb. 19, 1933 in El Reno, Okla. to Bartolo and Maria (Rosales) Lopez.
She married Oscar McBride on Dec. 21, 1953.
She was a longtime resident of Durant, Okla. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartolo and Maria (Rosales) Lopez.
Survivors include husband, Oscar McBride of the home; daughter, Brenda Varner of Mead, Okla.; sons, Dale McBride and wife Jamie of Waxahachie, Texas, Darrell McBride of Bokchito, Okla., Larry McBride and wife Kathleen of Corvallies, Ore., Jerry McBride of Durant, Okla.; brother, Johnny Lopez of Bakersfield, Calif.; sisters, Vera Polson of Tuttle, Okla., Rita Pecbot of Apple Valley, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
A family hour will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Calera, Okla. with Bro. Jacob Toews officiating. Shannon McBride, Cliff Varner, Johnny Ashby, Layne Murphree, Andrew Dollar and Mike Turner will serve as pallbearers.
