LaRhonda Gay (Taylor) Gibson was born on June 10, 1962 in Hobbs, N.M. to Presley Andrew and Barbara Ann (Camp) Taylor. LaRhonda passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Plano, Texas at the age of 58. 
A lifelong resident of Durant, LaRhonda married Jerry Lynn Gibson on June 17, 1980. They have been blessed with 41 years of marriage and three sons. She worked as a nurse for home health. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and she enjoyed fishing, camping, music and collecting southwest and Indian artwork. Her family was her life. and she lived her life to care and take of them and others.
LaRhonda was preceded in death by her father, Presley Andrew Taylor and nieces, Tammy LeAnn and Heather Nicole Taylor. 
LaRhonda is survived by her husband, Jerry Lynn Gibson; mother, Barbara Ann Taylor; sons: Jeramie Lynn Gibson, Justin Lynn Gibson and wife Latisha and Joshua Lynn Gibson and wife Danica; grandchildren: Kendra Lynae, Austin Wayne, Haven LaShai, Ajay Tuff, Kadie June, Jace Lynn, Jennie D’Lynn and Bryce Edward; sisters: Debbie Kay Parrott and husband Scotty and Sondra D’Lynn Grider and husband Eric; brothers: Jeffrey Wade Taylor and Jerry Neal Taylor and wife Laura and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of LaRhonda’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday June 4, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Jackie Lewis will officiate.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Chris Gibson, John Gibson, Nick Gibson, Andrew Gibson, Jasper Gibson, Ben Gibson, Jason Parrott, Scotty Ray Parrott and John Cook serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Gibson, Scott Parrott, Eric Grider, Jerry Neal, Jeff Taylor, Freddie McDonald, Nate Watts and Chris Ecklund.
The family will receive friends and family at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
