Talma Sadler, 94, passed away May 9, 2021, in Denison, Texas. He was born to Tessie Lee Sadler and Essie Gertrude Despain in Duke, Okla., on Aug. 14, 1926.
Talma severed our country in World War II as Staff Sergeant at Discharge. He joined the Army on May 10, 1943. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Service Arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star.
Talma found love not just once but three times in his lifetime.
He was a proud member of the local DAV, VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by wife, Zela Mae Hobbick Sadler; brothers, Lloyd and Doyle Sadler; sister, Margaret Cook; sons, Thomas and Paul Sadler and granddaughter, Laurie Sadler.
He is survived by sons, Jim Sadler and Mike Hobbick; daughter, Terri Greilich; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones and friends.
Honoring the wishes of Talma Allen Sadler, there will be no services held.
