Roy C. Rogers, a resident of Durant, Okla., joined his Heavenly Father on March 5, 2021 at the age of 82. He was the son of Clay J. Rogers and Ima Allie (Marrs) Rogers born on September 27, 1938. Roy married his cherished wife Rose Marie Brock in Crescent, Okla. on March 14, 1958.
Roy was a man dedicated to his faith with a servant’s heart. He was an Elder and Deacon of the Crescent First Christian Church 1968-2001 (33 years), a Deacon for the Kingston First Baptist Church from 2016-2021. He was community minded and was active in the Crescent Fire Services from 1968-1988, was the Crescent Fire Chief from 1986-1987, and the Crescent Mayor from 1970-1972. Roy was employed by the CMS Gas Plant as a motor technician.

Kara and Jeremy Gooch- granddaughter, Greenville, NC. Allison McDowell- granddaughter, OKC, OK. Sandra and Ron Mitchell- daughter, Durant, OK Megan and Byington Taylor- granddaughter, Durant, OK. Andria and Joel Dameron- granddaughter, Durant, OK. Cameron and Michaela Hise- grandson, Wheeling, IL. Nanci and Damon Donaldson- daughter, Crescent, OK. Billy and Cherokee Donaldson- grandson, Crescent, OK. Sarah Donaldson- granddaughter, Crescent, OK. Cassie Donaldson- granddaughter, Crescent, OK. Roy Kent and Dana Rogers-son, Fairhope, AL. Trevor and Dacie Rogers-grandson, Durant, OK. Baylee and Ramsey Hundley- granddaughter, Enid, OK. Karson and Keeleigh Rogers- grandson, Durant, OK. Makenzie Rogers- granddaughter, Seattle, WA

Roy is proceeded in death by mother, Ima Allie Marrs Rogers; father, Clay J. Rogers; brother, Carl Rogers; and son-in-law, Kevin McDowell.
He was laid to rest at the Oakland Knowles Cemetery in Crescent, Okla.
