Clinton Lee Harris, 50, passed away on Jan. 1, 2021. He was born to Clifton and Virginia Harris in Tishomingo, Okla. on July 15, 1970.
He attended Coleman High school and OSU Technical. He married Christy Wood in Durant, Okla. in 1993.
Clinton worked on the grounds crew at SOSU, Durant campus. He enjoyed hunting fishing, gun collecting and target shooting. He was a Christian man and attended Baptist and Pentecostal churches while growing up. Clinton proudly served in The US Army for four years and fought in Desert Storm.
Clinton is preceded in death by his grandparents: Roy Lee Harris, Odessa Harris, Oscar Parnell, Lillie Parnell; aunt, Lutreca Bates; uncles: Vernon Parnell, O.J. Parnell and Phillip “Butch” Parnell and brother Roy Harris.
He is survived by his parents, Clifton and Virginia Harris of Coleman; spouse, Christy Gibb of the home; sister, Nita Harris of Coleman; niece, Meagan Harris of Vacaville, Calif.; sister-in-law, Michelle Harris of Vacaville, Calif.; stepsons: Tracey Martinez, Joshua Parrott of Coleman and Corey Parrott of Duncan, Okla.; great-nephew, Troy Schaller and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Coleman Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant.
