James was born in Brawley, Calif., on Sept. 7, 1959 and died on Dec. 28, 2020, at the age of 61.
Jimmy graduated from Brawley Union High School. His first job as a teenager was at the Adobe Steakhouse. After a brief stint of baling hay for his father, he went on to work in two-way radio repair for many years. Self-taught, he later went into web design and computer repair.
He could fix anything and when something became challenging, he would say, “Now this is getting personal.” One time, when his vehicle wasn’t cooperating attempting to climb Competition Hill at the sand dunes at Glamis, he backed up and climbed it in reverse.
Jimmy enjoyed music and comedies – especially Cheers and Frasier. He was funny and made us laugh until the very end saying, “Gee, I kind of hate to croak and leave Mom with all this stuff she needs fixed.”
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Webster and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Webster and sister, Jeana Webster of Allen, Texas.
A graveside remembrance will be held on Monday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla.
