Patrick Ward Carter a resident of Mead, Okla. passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2020 at the age of 73 in Durant, Okla. Patrick was born to Gardner Williams Sr. and Patricia Claire (Ward) Carter on Nov. 19, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Patrick married Melody Rae Storms on April 17, 1976 in Belin, N.M., where they raised three children.
Patrick has been a resident of Mead, Okla. for more than 30 years. He enjoys hunting and fishing. Patrick was an auto mechanic and found therapy in working and fixing cars. One of his favorite things to do was spending time with his grandchildren.
Patrick is survived by his wife Melody of the home; daughters: Melissa Graham and husband Ronald of Mead, Okla., Patricia Carter and husband Johnny of Durant, Okla., Jennifer Robinson and husband Patrick of Blue, Okla.; grandchildren: Johnny Clark and wife Kinizi Bird of Mead, Okla., Jacob Graham of Mead, Okla., Tatyana Cooke of Durant, Okla., JaShante Cooke of Durant, Okla., Trent Robinson of Blue, Okla., and Alaina Robinson of Blue, Okla.; one great-grandchild Kason Clarke; brother, Gardner Carter Jr. of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Beverly Higdon of Mustang, Okla. 
Patrick is preceded in death his parents, Gardner Williams Sr. and Patricia Claire (Ward) Carter; brother, Lawrence Therrien Carter and Alan Thomas Carter.
Visitation for Patrick Ward Carter will be 3-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Okla. with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronald Graham, Patrick Robinson, Johnny Cooke, Jacob Graham and Trent Robinson.
