Ralph Coxsey, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on Tuesday, March 11, 1947 in Durant to Ralph Sr. and Pat Coxsey.
He married Allison (Chambers) on Jan. 16, 1970 in Idabel, Okla. They had more than 50 years together and had three children.
Ralph was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation as well as a Navy Veteran. He made three tours of Duty in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Later, he served four years as a Bryan County Special Deputy Sheriff with his partner Earl Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Pat Coxsey, as well as two brothers, Benny Coxsey and David Coxsey.
He is survived by his wife, Allison; three children: Terri Coxsey Riffe and wife Sonja, Kerri Coxsey Hynds and husband Dan and Seth Chambers Coxsey and wife Chelsey. He is also survived by grandchildren: Kylee Bailey, Allie Wolter, Isabelle Coxsey, Jamison Coxsey, Miles Coxsey, Roscoe Coxsey and three great-grandchildren: Jocelyn Jackson, Hunter Bailey and Declan Wolter, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at Gordon Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service.
