A lifelong resident of Bryan County, George has been a farmer, rancher and cattleman all his life. He married Trecia A. Harrell on November 12, 1976 and they were blessed with two daughters and 41 years of marriage until Trecia’s passing in 2017. He worked for Bryan County District 1 until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and he loved his cows.
George was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
George is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Miller and Heather Smith and husband Brad; granddaughters, Annie Miller and Hallie Smith; step-son, Steven Combrink and wife Danni; brother, Johnny Harrod and wife Karen; sisters, Jean Thompson and Susan Irons and husband Tom and numerous extended family and friends. 
Services to celebrate George’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Marty Hutchings will officiate.
