SILO – The Lady Rebels grabbed three runs in the first inning, which was plenty for Christina Clark to hold off the Lady Lions on Thursday.
In fact, one would have been enough as Clark pitched a seven-inning shutout and Silo defeated Durant, 4-0.
Clark gave up only two hits and struck out 13 on her way to the win.
Durant pitcher Abi Gregory gave up only two hits on the afternoon, as well. But three errors by the Lady Lions, two walks and a hit by pitch helped Silo to score three in the opening frame.
Silo’s NayNay Turner had a triple, a stolen base and scored twice.
