Melissa “Missy” Mayo, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 54. She was born on Friday, Oct. 29, 1965 in Waco, Texas.
She was one of the most caring and loving souls that walked the planet. She saw only the positive in everyone she met. She loved her entire family and they meant the world to her. She had a strong faith and was passionate about Christ.
She married Clint Mayo in Winsboro, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Mayo; mother, Linda Davis and sister, Melinda Sue Butler.
Survivors include her son, Donovan Vaughan and wife Lexi of Hudson, Florida; daughter, Brittany Vaughan; brother, Howard O’Bryan of Greenville, Texas; step-father, Fred Ridings of Tyler, Texas; step-daughters, Felicia Mayo and Martie Mayo both of Mineola, Texas; grandchildren, Taloa Dodson, Kolten Brewer; in-laws, Curtis and Wanda Mayo, all of Durant, Okla. and many adopted family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Home.
Cremation services were selected.
