Delmas attended school in Willis, Kingston and Jones, Okla. and later served his country in the United States Army from 1970-1972 until his Honorable discharge. He married Linda Jane Hays on Nov. 9, 1981 in Oklahoma City, Okla. and they have been blessed with 38 years together. He worked as a roofing contractor and he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Delmas was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kim Dawn Garland and brother, Gerald Cox.
Delmas is survived by his wife, Linda Jane Cox of the home; children, Chanda Rash of Calumet, Okla., Darrell Cox of Kingston, Okla., Melinda Knight and husband Jason of Kingston, Okla. and Amanda Cox and husband Roger Allen of Kingston, Okla.; grandchildren, Anthony, Austin and Dylan Rash, Sara Williams, Macy and Conner Cox, Malory and Marshall Moody, Kanaira Swift, Hunter and Zachary Knight, Abriana Bradshaw, Alexandria Loyd and Rainee, Sway and Will Allen; great-granddaughter, Melanie Adame and sisters, Linda McLemore, Delma Heath, Mary Nichols, YeVonna Frantz, Patricia Weant, Margaret Lynch and Tammy Johnson.
A celebration of Delmas’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Bay Point Church. Michael Stephens will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Madill, Okla.
