Michael Bryce Morrison was born on Oct. 2, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to William Bryce and Mary Frances Wilson Morrison. He left this earthly life in Durant, Okla. joining his savior, on Wednesday June 17, 2020, at the age of 75.
Mike married Anita Peddy in Durant, Oklahoma on January 17, 1969.
Mike attended Durant Schools and graduated in the DHS class of 1962. He also attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and he served in the US Army reserves. He worked for Oklahoma State Employment service for 20 years but many people knew him from his business, A&M Engraving, that he owned and operated for 16 years before selling it.
Mike and Anita loved traveling with family over the beautiful USA and had been to almost all 50 states, many several times visiting state parks, historical monuments and amazing scenery. Mike was always a great photographer capturing many beautiful sights. Mike was a member of the SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) and his alias was “Little Doc” participating in Senior Olympics shooting and various other shoots for fifteen years he received a multitude of awards. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA and Elks Lodge.
Mr. Morrison is survived by his beloved wife Anita, of the home; son, Shayne Morrison and Michelle of Bells, Texas; sister, Melinda Tucker of Durant, Okla. and many extended family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bryce and Mary Frances Morrison and his precious daughter, Michele Leigh Morrison Powell.
Memorial service was held Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Home.
