Olivia Susan “Libby” Holt transitioned peacefully from her earthly home in Cartwright, Okla., to her eternal home in Heaven on February 29, 2020. She was loved and visited by many friends and family members in her final days, returning and reaffirming the love, which she freely gave and received throughout her life.
Libby was born on April 2, 1956 in Flow Memorial Hospital in Denton, Texas to Dorothy Jon Tittle Wright and Fred Boone Wright, while her parents and older siblings resided in Nocona, Texas, where her father was a teacher and basketball coach at Nocona High School. The family moved back to Denton shortly thereafter, where Libby grew up. She graduated from Denton High School in 1974.
Libby is preceded in passing to Eternity by her beloved husband Dwain Holt and sister-in-law Trovetta Sanders Hodges.
She is survived by her four children, Lori Sparks, Chris Sanders, Risa Sanders and Jon Sanders and their spouses, nine grandchildren (Jacey, Tyler and Lindsey Sparks, Logan Sanders, Mercedes, Amber and Nicole Hemby, Sarah Sanders and Seth), two great-granddaughters (Kennedy Villarreal and Lea Coulter), nieces and nephews (Tina, E.B., Jeffery Hodges and Betty Price) who she help raise in an often four adult and seven children household, Dwain’s children and their families, especially, Sheila and Victoria, who lived with them at times, Chris & Tasha’s older son Matt, and ex-husband always close friend Troy Sanders. She is also survived by her siblings Judy, Rusty and Beth and their families. She loved all of us deeply and was loved in return.
Added to these are the numerous friends that she made over the last 35 years in the Sherman/Denison area, while working in the hospitality industry. She will be loved, fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020, 3 p.m. at Ackers Cemetery, Sherman, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Joseph Price.
